Terms of service

1. Using Palimp

By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. Palimp is provided for personal and professional note-taking. You keep ownership of every note you create; we hold a limited licence only to store and display your content back to you as the service requires.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use Palimp to store or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, infringing, or designed to harm others. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the service, scrape data at scale, circumvent rate limits, or resell access without written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, with notice where reasonably possible.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Premium is billed monthly at €8. Charges recur until you cancel. We'll let you know before any price change. EU VAT is included where applicable.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel Premium at any time from your account settings. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, after which you continue on the Free tier with your notes intact. You may delete your account at any time; doing so removes all server-side data within 30 days.

5. Liability

Palimp is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a specific purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for lost notes, lost business, or lost time beyond that cap. Keep your own backups — Palimp makes exports easy for exactly this reason.

6. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll email account holders and highlight them in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
